Innsbruck

Hiyee our nearest and dearest, the blog folllowers!

We have just arrived in Vienna (Aaaaaaaaaaah, Vienna). Check out our gaff-
http://www.thebest4.biz/ap4/index.html

Net access at the last couple of stops rubbish so a few phots to catch up on. Who would have thunk it in this day and age!!!

Innsbruck was lovely, quite chilly, very green and lush and you could see the snowy topped mountains from the campsite! The cows actually did have bells on too. We all have had colds and Daisy has a special massive spot with hers for extra sympathy.

Irene and Daisy continue to attract alot of attention and generate lots of chats with strangers which is fab.We were let off a toll fee in Italy as the guy in the booth was so excited about the bus! Woo!

Computer misbehaving so will add phots tomorrow.

Biyeeeeeee! Miss you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Just to let you know what we have been up to this week....

Greetings blog followers,

Well, since the last blog posting, we have been to Lake Garda and stayed at the La Rocca campsite which is halfway between Bardolino and Garda town, and it is fab! Great location at the edge of the lake, a lot of people about but you don’t feel too overwhelmed with it. A short lakeside walk to both Bardolino or Garda and 4 nights here costs a measly £65 (ish), bargain. Highly recommended to you all for a holiday.

Weather was 28- 32 degrees. Went into Garda and Bardolina on Wednesday for a womble and it was nice and warm at night for Daisy. We sat and had a brew/ Soave at the lakeside and people watched; some good mullets and glam about. We saw another bay window parked up, so have posted a pic (haven‘t seen that many since starting the trip). Anna did her bit for the budget by drinking lots of Soave as it was the local veno and cheaper than coke!

We have started buying cheesy stickers which are currently all going onto our mobile coolbox, looks well chavvy so far. Will post a pic as it becomes more chavmeister. (Denni gets very excited about the stickers!).

Went to Sermione on Thursday, a lake side village on the south side, very hot and touristy but again very nice. Then we went to Verona on Friday and had a wee look round, lovely place. Honestly, It’s a hectic life!

We then drove up through Northern Italy on Saturday, up through the wine/castle regions and then through part of the Dolomite mountain range, through the Stubai Alps and we are now sat in a wee holiday flat at the Natterersee campsite just outside Innsbruck. We did hire a holiday caravan on Saturday night, but it is quite cold here and Daisy has a cold and the caravan is really only built for summer use so we traded up for the apartment. They had snow here last week and it went down to about minus 2 already and will only get colder. Bit overcast which was a shame as we are surrounded by the Stubai Alps, just can’t see them!

Will try and post more video’s of Daisy as it is a better representation of her being feisty/happy/grumpy/chunky//cute/tired (or all of those at the same time) than a photo. She has been enjoying herself, coping well with the heat and generally being on the move most of the time, she is just a wee bit down in the dumps at the mo and under the weather with a cold.

Anyway, hope all is good with everyone, and will catch up with you all again soon.
Love Den, Anna, Daisy and Irene xx

PS: A wee special hello to Capt Mcstickio. Hope all is good and you’re not too tired/bored/overworked already. J

PPS: We have just arrived in Vienna (Thursday 30th) and will post another catch up with fots from Innsbruck as we have t’internet.

Lake Como....................

Nice drive through the Mt Blanc tunnel and the Aosta valley. Caught up in traffic and roadworks near Milan then drove up alongside Lake Como.

For lunch Anna and I had baguettes whilst Daisy snacked away on steak, broccoli and mustard mash, that girl loves her scran!

Arrived in Domaso to stay in a bungalow for 3 days. Heading off straight away tomorrow to Lake Garda as Como is pretty instantly forgettable. Don't get me wrong, lovely lake, nice views but I think we have been put off by the standard of the campsite and surrounding area.

Daisy asleep, Anna and I having pizza (of course!) and Peroni, cheers! Will catch up again in Garda.

Cheeky Monkey!

Bonjour! Firstly apologies for the abrupt ending of the last. Denni started it, I finished it and we were in a rush. Nevermind, I will make up for it with warm ending on this one.

Well, Anthony the dedicated and extremely helpful french VW mechanic was true to his word. He fixed Irene on time, as promised, for a bargain price. That was Tuesday so we left Lake Anncey (boo!) for Chamonix (yey!) Wednesday. We decided to give Irene a little rest and treat ourselves to a luxury wooden chalet at a campsite 10 mins walk from Chamonix town centre. The view from our balcony is Mont Blanc! I am typing this from there at the moment with a glass of Rosé. It is raining but the view is still amazing.

Daisy is a cheeky chunky monkey. She has started slapping her hand in the bath water quite vigourously, giving us all a shower and totally splashing herself but she doesnt care. She loves fruit, especially when she can eat it whole and use her two little teeth to scrape bits off. Today at lunch time she managed a grated cheese sarnie! It did take a while for her to chew though. She has been on top form the last few days and has been really good fun. Her new thing is posing and smiling for the camera (must get that from her Papa!).

Daisy can now easily sit up by herself and likes to stand when you hold her. She watches us brush our teeth and copies (Denni's colleagues, the fang farriers would be proud!). She has become very vocal and expressive and we have found ourselves being plonkers in public to make her laugh. Who cares, worth it every time!

So we are here for four days, then off to Lake Como in Italy on Sunday. Thanks for reading and for the comments. We are having the time of our lives but miss you all heaps! Back on soon for an update.

Lots of love from Denni, Anna, Daisy and Irene xxxx

We are having to spend another week here in Annecy (not complaining!) as we discovered that one of the pipes carrying fuel had badly corroded and the bus was smelling badly of petrol.

Amazingly enough, about half a mile away we found a proper old skool VW garage full of Bay windows, Golfs, Porsche and some funky looking trucks which I'll take a piccie of when the bus is fixed.

Daisy has now decided that as soon as she is laid down, to flip onto her front and prefers trying to stand up rather than sit down, she has come on quite a bit in the 2 weeks we have been away. And of course she is chunking up! She loves croissants and pan au chocolat! She has a new habit of smiling for the camera and is very chatty. Her first proper swim was in the campsite swimming pool, pics to follow.

Anyway back to the holiday. Some piccies above of our recent trips out and about, weather still in the high 20's although cold at night. It would appear that all Japanese tourists we have seen seem to think Denni is Ewan McGregor! They asked for his photo and autograph and were a bit deflated when it turned out it actually wasn't him!
